G'day, my name is Pete. As I write I'll be using Australian Slang on purpose and as much as possible. I find it adds colour and uniqueness and identifies me as Australian - which I am proud of. I have an opinion on most things. Just ask me - I'll tell you. Don't ask me and I'll still tell you. I don't like bull shit and I don't like mincing words.
I love to dance 50's and 60's rock'n roll with my beautiful Wife and drive our off road 4x4s wherever they'll go.
I enjoy writing poems as I find them a good way to express what I'm thinking and feeling about anything. I love Australia, especially the Great Outdoors. It's one of my most favourite places that I like to be. The website Great Outdoors Australia.com was started to share with everyone the many wonderful ways to experience Great Outdoors Australia.
I like to write and I'll be writing about anything that interests me and that I think is important. It could be about what's happening in Great Outdoors Australia. "Hear the Thunder From Down Under." News. Opinions. Ideas. Australia Poems and Stories. Australia weather. Hobbies. Solutions to problems. Things to do, Places to go, People to meet. Humour. Satire. Democracy? Voting. Putting the spotlight on Australia's Politicians, Public Servants, Government Agencies and Departments including Local Councils. Or about something that is not fair to the everyday Australian or anyone else for that matter.
Australia Slang is also a connection to and a reminder for me of growing up in rural N.S.W. This was a very special time and place in my life and where you'll find some of the nicest and most fair dinkum people you could ever meet.
